Gary Michael Sauchinitz, 75, of Lehighton, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 in his residence. He was the husband of Debra L. (Frable) Sauchinitz. They celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on June 28th of last year. Born in Coaldale, he was a son of the late Michael and Betty (Rodgers) Sauchinitz. He was employed as a mechanic for the US Navy and then was an electric line assembler for the former Kovatch Corps, Nesquehoning. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving 20 years. He was a graduate of Lehighton Area High School and Carbon Career & Technical Institute Class of 1971. He enjoyed wood working and fixing anything and everything.  Gary’s greatest accomplishment was his granddaughter’s and made them his priority. 

Surviving along with is wife Debra are sons Scott and Eric and his wife Victoria both of Lehighton; a brother Stephen Sauchinitz and his wife Tina of Lehighton; and granddaughters Hailey, Harper and Ann Marie.

He was also preceded in death by a son Jason Lee Sauchinitz.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, February 26, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. in the Andrew P. Ovsak Funeral Home, 190 S. 4th St. Lehighton with Rev. Walter Breiner officiating. Call Thursday morning 10-11:00 A.M. in the Funeral Home.  Interment will follow with Military Honors in the Gnaden Huetten Cemetery, Lehighton. In lieu of flowers donations will be accepted to Carbon County Animal Sheter or Veteran charity of your choice. Online condolence at www.ovsakfh.com.
