Mrs. Adele M. (Wentz) Kunkle

Mrs. Adele M. Kunkle 85, formerly of Parryville, Pa. passed into eternal rest on Tues. Feb. 10th at Liza's Personal Care Home, Danielsville, Pa. She was the wife of the late John R. Kunkle who passed away June 17, 2020. Born in Parryville, Pa. on Feb. 19, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Paul & Irene (Montz) Wentz. Adele formerly worked in the garment industry and later was a piano teacher giving private lessons in her home. She was a re-nowned organist/pianist for many church parishes in the area. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, especially about history, and spending time with her husband and family. She currently was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Egypt, Pa. Surviving are two daughters, Iris Neilon (Reverend John) of Fitschburg, Mass., Holly Messinger (Darryl) of Whitehall, a son Daniel Kunkle (Sophia) of Bartlett Tenn., a sister, Christine Whalen (Wesley) of Oceanpost, NJ, 7 grandchildren, 4 Greatgrandchildren, 2 nieces & 2 nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter in law, Jan Kunkle.Funeral Services will be held on Wed. Feb. 18th at 11 a.m. at The Ovsak FH, 190 S. 4th St., Lehighton with the Rev. John Neilon officiating. Call 9:30-11 a.m. Interment in the Parryville Cemetery.
